R.O.S.A. at the American Club of Rome Event: A Milestone Toward Global Impact

On February 5, 2026, R.O.S.A. had the honor of participating in a events hosted by our partner, the American Club of Rome. The event focused on the practical steps and guidelines for establishing a nonprofit organization in Italy and brought together professionals, change-makers, and community leaders united by a shared commitment to social impact.

Representing R.O.S.A., our founder and president, Mariarosy Calleri shared the association’s journey — a story of transformation, growth, and renewed purpose.

From Local Initiative to International Vision

Over the past 12 years, R.O.S.A. has evolved significantly. What began as a volunteer-driven initiative sponsored locally in Rome has grown into a structured and recognized organization with a broader reach and deeper institutional grounding.

Today, R.O.S.A. operates as an established APS (Associazione di Promozione Sociale) — a Social Promotion Association under Italian law. This status reflects a strategic and mission-driven evolution that has strengthened the organization’s operational capacity and long-term sustainability.

As an APS, R.O.S.A. is able to:

  • Operate with greater structural clarity and flexibility
  • Maintain strong governance and compliance frameworks
  • Expand partnerships at institutional and international levels
  • Collaborate effectively with NGOs and private entities worldwide
  • Position itself for broader global engagement

Operating within this recognized framework enables R.O.S.A. to pursue its mission on an international scale — working alongside institutional partners, NGOs, and private organizations that believe in the revolutionary power of education, equity, and sustainable development.

Sharing Knowledge: Building Nonprofits with Purpose

During the event, Ms. Calleri outlined the essential steps required to establish a nonprofit organization in Italy, making the process accessible even to those without prior legal or structural knowledge. She walked attendees through:

  1. Defining mission and values
  2. Drafting foundational documents
  3. Registering with the Italian tax authority
  4. Opening an organizational bank account
  5. Completing accounting and compliance procedures

Her presentation emphasized that while the process demands patience, transparency, and teamwork, the impact that follows is worth the effort. Creating a nonprofit is not simply about structure — it is about giving a mission a formal voice and long-term sustainability.

The Spirit Behind the Structure

Beyond legal frameworks and procedures, what resonated most deeply during the event was the personal motivation behind R.O.S.A.’s founding. In response to a question about what inspired her to begin this journey, Ms. Calleri reflected on her background in entertainment and education and her urgency to help build a better world through peace and empowerment.

As she shared:

“We really do impact a lot of peoples’ lives, and that’s my revolution.”

That spirit — the belief that meaningful, lasting change is possible through education, inclusion, and shared responsibility — continues to guide R.O.S.A.’s work today.

Looking Ahead: A Stronger Global Network

The February 5th event reaffirmed the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and cross-cultural partnership. The welcoming community fostered by the American Club of Rome reflects the very principles R.O.S.A. stands for: connection, engagement, and collective impact.

R.O.S.A is focused on strengthening international alliances and expanding its footprint across borders. With a growing global team and renewed institutional capacity, we are better positioned than ever to advance initiatives that promote:

  • Access to quality education
  • Gender equity and inclusion
  • Sustainable development practices
  • Youth empowerment and leadership

We extend our sincere gratitude to our partners and the American Club of Rome for hosting this meaningful conversation and for fostering a community committed to positive change.
