Non Discrimination and Inclusion Policy
1. Commitment to Inclusion
R.O.S.A. – Remove Obstacles to Social Awareness APS (“the Association”) is committed to fostering a culture of
diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect in all aspects of its activities.
Consistent with global best practices and the principle of
“Powering an Inclusive Future for All,” the Association works to ensure that individuals from all backgrounds have equitable opportunities to participate in and benefit from its programs, services, and initiatives.
The Association recognizes that diversity of perspectives, identities, and experiences strengthens communities, promotes innovation, and enhances social impact.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Members of the Association
- Board members and governance bodies
- Volunteers and program participants
- Employees, consultants, and collaborators
- Beneficiaries of programs and services
- Suppliers, contractors, and partner organizations
All individuals and entities working with or on behalf of the Association are expected to uphold the principles outlined in this policy.
3. Non-Discrimination Principle
The Association strictly prohibits discrimination or harassment based on any protected characteristic.
Protected characteristics include, but are not limited to:
- Age
- Race or ethnicity
- Color
- National origin or nationality
- Citizenship
- Gender
- Gender identity or gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Disability (physical or mental)
- Medical condition
- Genetic information
- Pregnancy
- Religion, belief, or creed
- Marital status

- Political opinion
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable law
The Association embraces
full-spectrum diversity, recognizing the intersection of multiple identities and experiences.
4. Equal Opportunity
The principles of equity and non-discrimination apply to all organizational activities, including:
- Admission of members
- Participation in organizational governance and activities
- Recruitment and selection of employees and collaborators
- Access to programs, services, and benefits
- Partnerships and collaborations
Decisions related to roles, responsibilities, and opportunities are based solely on
merit, qualifications, and alignment with the Association’s mission.
5. Respectful and Inclusive Environment
The Association is committed to maintaining a
safe, respectful, and inclusive environment free from harassment, intimidation, or discriminatory behavior.
Harassment includes any unwelcome conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, or offensive environment.
All individuals interacting with the Association are expected to demonstrate
professionalism, dignity, fairness, and respect.
6. Religious Neutrality
The Association maintains a position of
religious neutrality and respect for freedom of belief.
Participation in programs, services, employment, or volunteer activities does
not require adherence to any religious doctrine.
Partnerships with faith-based organizations are permitted provided that beneficiaries are not required to adopt or convert to any religious belief as a condition for receiving services.
7. Equity and Social Impact
Recognizing that structural inequalities may limit access to opportunity, the Association supports initiatives that:
- Promote equitable access to education and opportunity
- Reduce barriers affecting underserved communities
- Support the safety, dignity, and participation of marginalized groups
- Encourage diverse leadership and participation
Where appropriate and legally permissible, the Association may implement
targeted outreach or positive action measures to address historical or systemic inequities.
8. Reporting Concerns
Individuals who believe they have experienced or witnessed discrimination or harassment are encouraged to report the concern.

The Association will review all reports promptly and fairly while protecting confidentiality to the extent possible.
Retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith is strictly prohibited.
9. Governance and Accountability
The
Board of Directors is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and periodically reviewing this policy to ensure continued alignment with best practices in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
All members, volunteers, employees, and partners share responsibility for upholding these principles and contributing to an inclusive organizational culture.
10. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed periodically to ensure its continued effectiveness and alignment with international best practices and applicable laws.
