About R.O.S.A.
Creating Equal Access to Education for Brighter Futures
Empowering Global Citizens
Founded in the historic city of Rome, Italy, in 2014, R.O.S.A. (Remove Obstacles to Social Awareness) embarked on a vital mission to empower individuals worldwide and promote equity in education. We passionately advocate for inclusiveness and accessibility in learning, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to thrive. We believe in the transformative power of education to break cycles of poverty and economically empower individuals from the most marginalized communities.
Creating Inclusive Learning Environments
Our core focus is cultivating equal opportunities and active global citizenship. We equip individuals with essential digital skills and provide training in communication, creative content creation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking. Our goal is to foster future global leaders and build sustainable local development models rooted in innovative education. We aim to close the education gap and give students around the world equal access to learning opportunities.
Global Partnerships for Education
Equal access to education in Africa and beyond!
Our initiatives span diverse regions, from Africa to Europe and Southeast Asia, impacting education and economic development by engaging dedicated volunteers, as well as local students and teachers, in transformative journeys that shape citizens around the world with the necessary skills to actively contribute to the 21st-century information and knowledge society. Education is crucial for the growth of these countries, and we believe that the right to education is a fundamental human right that should be protected. Through our equal education programs, we work together with volunteers and educational institutions to create learning environments and break down barriers to education, providing both in-person and remote access to advanced coursework and learning opportunities for all parties involved.
Our Story
Empowering Youth Through Access to Education and Global Citizenship Awareness
Evolution of Our Path to Educational Equity
R.O.S.A. – Remove Obstacles to Social Awareness – began with a simple yet powerful belief: that equal access to education can transform both education systems and communities worldwide. From our first English-language summer camp in Rome in 2014, our journey has been a testament to our commitment to expanding educational opportunities far beyond the classroom.
Our evolution into a growing global network of digital literacy programs is driven by the conviction that access and equity in education are not privileges but fundamental rights.
Our story is not just one of milestones; it is made of a deep-seated love for teaching, a dedication to grassroots impact, and the power of international collaboration—all working in unison to ensure equal access to knowledge for all. We bring together professionals, retirees, and college students, and offer educational resources for them to share their knowledge and ensure that all students have access to quality education.

Education Equity Empowered by Innovation and Purpose
Empowering Global Citizens
R.O.S.A.’s programs blend innovation with empathy. We use theater to teach languages, coding to build confidence, and service learning to empower young leaders. Our approach is designed to foster equitable access to education for all, actively working to bridge the gap in education wherever we operate. Whether we’re meticulously training passionate volunteers, offering retirees the unique opportunity to travel with purpose, or helping adventurous digital nomads truly immerse themselves in local communities, R.O.S.A.’s unwavering focus is on cultivating lifelong learners who are inspired to give back—especially to those with limited access to education.
Bridging the Gap Through Creativity, Service, and Inclusion
Inequality in education continues to limit opportunities for millions of students, especially those from underserved communities. For us, education is key, and every initiative is about ensuring that access meets opportunity—creating meaningful connections and lasting positive change in the world.
