Zanzibar Ministry of Education Partners with R.O.S.A. to Launch ReCoding Africa Teacher Training Program
R.O.S.A. is proud to announce a transformative partnership with the Zanzibar Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) to launch the ReCoding Africa Teacher Training Program: Training Teachers for Tomorrow. This pioneering initiative is designed to empower high school teachers with 21st-century teaching methodologies. This collaboration, formalized on April 14, 2025 by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marks a major step toward modernizing Zanzibar’s education system by moving away from traditional passive learning and embracing dynamic, neuroscience-informed pedagogies integrated with technology.
The partnership kicks off with a pilot program that will provide intensive training for 40 high school teachers at Teacher Centers in Zanzibar. These educators will undergo professional development sessions focused on active learning strategies, digital tools for instruction, and the latest insights from cognitive science to support student engagement and academic success.
